Eye Lines & Wrinkles

Lines and wrinkles around the eyes are a prevalent concern for individuals of all genders. Among the most favored treatments is the use of muscle relaxant products, which are injected around the eye area. This procedure aims to diminish lines and wrinkles, consequently enhancing the appearance of the eye area. Additionally, it can alleviate the burden of heavy eyelids, resulting in a more refreshed and rejuvenated look.

Eye Lines & Wrinkles Treatment

Our clinic offers various non-surgical treatments that are designed to target eye lines and wrinkles. Our range of treatment options include the use of muscle relaxant products that are administered via injection, into the muscles around the eyes. The procedure uses fine needles to inject a small volume of product, resulting in minimal discomfort.

The entire treatment typically takes only 15 or so minutes, with results seen within a few days post treatment. With that said, the full effect of the treatment usually becomes apparent within one to two weeks post-treatment.

Even though the treatment is tolerated well, we also offer topical anaesthetic cream which is applied about 15-30minutes prior to your treatment. During the pre-numbing phase, you can complete your patient consents and discuss your treatment in more detail. In addition, a cold ice pack can be applied to alleviate discomfort.

How does this treatment work?

Eye lines and wrinkle can be caused by repetitive muscle contraction around the eyes and adjacent areas. To address this, we use muscle relaxant products that block neurotransmitters, which prevents the area muscles from contracting. Meaning that the crow’s feet and other accompanying lines around the eyes, will significantly be reduced and in some cases, the lines around the eyes can completely diminish, while the product is active.

How long do the results last?

Following your very first treatment, expect the results to last 8-12 weeks. However, after more regular treatments, you may find that the results can last longer because the muscle has been constantly relaxed. It is important to note that the longevity of the product can also be determined by genetics and other factors such as how much product has been used at the time of treatment.

Once you cease having muscle relaxant treatment around your eyes, your eyes will return to its normal state, and your lines and wrinkle will return however, they do not become worse.

Does it hurt?

Most patients deem this treatment to be well tolerated. With that said, we understand that needles are being used during treatment and so we offer topical anaesthetic to help elevate discomfort during your treatment. If you would like topical anaesthetic applied prior to your treatment, please advise your treating cosmetic nurse, who can apply the anesthetic upon arrival at our clinic.

Potential Risks
