Types of Skin Peels?

There are several different types of chemical peels that work on different lasers of the skin – this include: Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHA): Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Citric Acid, Mandelic Acid and Beta-Hydroxy Acids (BHA): Salicylic Acid.

The strength of the chemical peel used, will be determined by a range of factors which include the patient’s skin type/colouring, the skin concerns and therefore the desired aesthetic outcome.

How many treatments?

Skin peels are enriched with antioxidants, designed to feed your skin with the right ingredients to ensure that your skin cells are kept protected for as long as possible – this will ultimately result in glowing skin.

How long does the procedure take?

Please allow 30 minutes for your appointment as this will allow time to complete a patient registration form, receive a consultation and discuss the procedure and post-care instructions.

Possible Side Effects

It is common to experience redness and, in some cases, bruising post treatment. Less

common side effects include but are not limited to granulomas, prolonged redness and healing, hyperpigmentation, and hypopigmentation.

Downtime

Following your treatment there will be some redness, skin warmth and mild swelling on and around the treated areas for up to 72 hours. You can apply makeup and cover up the treated area the day post treatment. In terms of returning to your day-to-day routine, this treatment will not interfere in any way.
